We wrapped up our busiest week in October ever (4 engagement sessions and a wedding!) with Hannah and Charlie’s engagement session in St. Louis, Missouri. We began at the City Museum, which was an awesome place to take some photos. We’ve only been there with our daughter, who was almost too young to appreciate all the museum has to offer. So it was fun to explore all the different places the museum has to offer for photographs. City Museum is where Charlie and Hannah met, so it holds a special place in their hearts.
After running around the museum, we headed to Citygarden just a few blocks away. As the website for this location says, it’s an urban park and sculpture garden in the heart of downtown St. Louis. I couldn’t agree more with that description. I had never been there before but the garden was brimming with fall colors, pumpkins, and gorgeous late afternoon light. One of my favorites pictures from this location is the Gateway Arch framing the Old Court House with Charlie and Hannah in the foreground with pumpkins lining the Citygarden sign. To me that picture is the quintessential summary of doing an engagement session in downtown St. Louis.
Thanks for the great afternoon, Charlie and Hannah. I had a wonderful time exploring some great locations with you both. And I’m looking forward to your wedding in St. Louis next May.
