After a week of unseasonably warm September weather (though, you just never know with Missouri weather in general), Taylor and Heath’s wedding day was absolutely perfect. The day started out at St. Peter Catholic Church in Jefferson City, Missouri. This church is one of the most beautiful churches in mid-Missouri. Taylor chose to decorate the church simply, allowing the grand beauty of the space to shine through. I absolutely love the picture of Heath’s when he saw Taylor for the first time. The joy and love on his face when seeing his gorgeous bride is priceless.
After a touching ceremony, we headed over to the Missouri State Capitol for portraits. The Capitol is a well photographed location for wedding portraits but rightfully so. The grounds are well kept and the Capitol itself offers such a variety of places to take photographs. The architectural details of the building add so much depth to the pictures. Once we were done wandering around the Capitol, we stopped in at Bones Restaurant and Lounge for a quick picture. Bones is the main hangout spot for Taylor, Heath, and their friends. It was fun to do some portraits at a non-traditional location, especially one that had special meaning to the bride and groom.
The reception was held at Braykley’s Hall in Centertown, MO where guests were invited to dig into some down home cooking for dinner and then dance the night away. We also had our photo booth set-up for part of the evening (which you can see HERE). Everyone had a blast with the photo booth and keeping the dancing floor hopping.
Thank you, Taylor and Heath, for letting us be part of your special day. We had such a wonderful time celebrating with you and your loved ones. We hope you enjoy the pictures.Read more about this on Sleek LR Presets
