We love when families keep coming back to us to document their family photos. It means a lot to us that our clients love our work and trust us enough to continue being a part of their lives. And we love watching the kids grow up before our eyes. You may recognize this family as we have had the pleasure of photographing Brenden over the years, as well his baby brother Tanner and his cousins, Addison and Finn. Last year Kim and her sister Christy, set up a family portrait session in honor of their parents 40th wedding anniversary in Tower Grove Park. This year Kim contacted us to do some updated family portraits of her, Justin, and the boys. She wanted to add Addison and Finn so that the grandparents could have some current photos of all the grandkids.
It was back to Tower Grove Park for this family session. We love photographing in Tower Grove Park because of all the different locations we have access to. Plus, this location allows kids to run around and just be kids. We thought we had our hands full with four kids under six years old last year, but this year we had two two-year-olds, a four-year-old, and an almost seven-year-old. This session proved to be much more lively now that each kid has really developed their own personality. The majority of the session was spent just letting the kids be kids. Part of what we like to capture is that natural interaction between family members. Two of our favorite photos are the one of all four kids on the bridge trying to hold hands and get into place for a group picture, as well as the picture of Addison giving Finn a loving kiss. Those are the moments we hope our clients will treasure forever.
My wife and daughter make a cameo in this blog post. Piper and Lane were on hand to help entertain the kids when we did individual portraits of each child. It’s always nice to have another set of hands around when photographing this many children. We also made sure to get a picture of Piper and Kim with the kids because Kim is Lane’s godmother and Piper is godmother to Brenden and Tanner.
Thank you, Kim and family, for allowing us to capture your family memories once more!
