I had a great time photographing Gretchen and Casey’s engagement session a couple of weeks ago. My wife works with Gretchen and it has been really nice getting to know her and Casey over the last few months. Our session started at Stephens Lake Park with Gretchen and Casey’s dogs, Max and Kahlua. This was my first time photographing a couple with their dogs which was a lot of fun and a bit challenging to get everyone looking at me at the same time. Thanks to Casey’s parents for coming along to be dog wranglers for the afternoon.
Next we moved onto the small Missouri River town of Rocheport where I photographed Gretchen and Casey exploring a couple of shops. They decided to grab some ice cream cones from the Rocheport General Store which was a nice little break. We made our way down to the Katy Trail and were able to get a lot of nice portraits along the trail.
To end the session we headed to Les Bourgeois Winery’s A-Frame where Gretchen and Casey enjoyed a bottle of wine and relaxing. At the end of the night we were treated to a wonderful sunset over the Missouri River. What a great end to an already wonderful engagement session. Thanks Gretchen and Casey – good luck with your destination wedding in February!
