Here is a quick photograph of Brenden from a family portrait session in Columbia, Mo., last weekend. I have had several opportunities to photograph Brenden over the last couple of years. It is always interesting to see how his looks and personality have changed between sessions.

Saturday, March 10th, 2012Photos of the Year {My favorites from 2011}
Monday, January 2nd, 2012It is hard to believe that another year has come and gone. The past year has been a great year, I had the opportunity to photograph quite a few beautiful weddings, cute kids, sporting events and ad campaigns in 2011. I also successful completed personal project over the summer, taking a photo a day using a film Holga camera. I spent a lot of time scanning negatives but it was a great experience and got the creativity flowing.
I am excited to see what 2012 has in store for me. I am currently working on developing a new website for my wedding and portrait photography, so stay tuned for updates. Now here are a few of my favorite photographs, in no particular order, from the last year.

Bride Sarah exits a bounce house after playing in it with her bridesmaids while taking wedding portraits at Tower Grove Park in St. Louis.

Missouri tailback Kendial Lawrence fumbles at the goal line during an NCAA college football game in Columbia, Mo.

Missouri senior wide receiver Jerrell Jackson is carried off the field following his final home game at Faurot Field in Columbia, Mo.
Brenden and Tanner {St. Louis Children’s Photos}
Tuesday, October 18th, 2011I had a great time photographing my wife’s godsons at their new home in St. Louis a couple of weeks ago. This was the second time I have photographed Brenden, and he was a lot of fun during the session running around and exploring his new back yard. We also got some photographs of Brenden with his new little brother Tanner who is two-months-old. Brenden did a great job trying to hold Tanner up for the pictures.
My favorite moments from the session were when Brenden was trying to give his little brother a high-five and when he would give him a little kiss on the forehead. I look forward to being able to document these two as they grow up over the next several years.

Portrait Photography Brenden: Photo of the Week Oct. 1-7
Friday, October 7th, 2011Every Friday I will be posting one of my favorite photographs from the previous week to my blog. I hope to be able to show the variety of events and people that I photograph throughout Missouri and the mid-West. Now for my first photo of the week post.
This is one of my favorite photographs from a photo session with Brenden and his two-month-old brother Tanner last weekend at their new house in Collinsville, Ill. I photographed Brenden in June and it was amazing how much better he could follow instructions and to see how his personality has changed in just a couple of months. Here are the photos from June.
Brenden-Columbia, Mo. Children’s Portraits
Friday, August 5th, 2011We had a great shoot with Brenden earlier this summer. We photographed him playing at a park here in Columbia, then moved onto the Spray Park at Flat Branch Park in Downtown Columbia. The morning was on the cool side, Brenden loved the water and we had to end the shoot once his lips turned blue. Enjoy the photos from our shoot.
